CHALLENGE
Receiving over 1 million monthly page views and translated into 22 languages, Microsoft created the Microsoft Developer Network (originally MSDN.com), a portal to provide web, software, and app developers with the tools and resources they need to help make their projects a success.
SOLUTION
Microsoft hired Kinetic Pencil to provide ongoing design and content support for the site’s weekly refreshes. Across the three years Kinetic Pencil was the agency managing this account, the MSDN homepage ranged between four and nine unique content features, each pointing to a unique tool, resource, or video.
RESULT
With experience in creative direction, design, illustration, and copywriting, Kinetic Pencil became a competitive choice to undertake this account. Our depth of experience in the Microsoft brand allowed us to provide compelling creative solutions with agility and efficiency.
Working with the editorial calendar, we developed compelling imagery and text to encourage site visitors to engage with the content. Our creative process included exploring / developing a color story, generating a design solution, writing the content, and packaging up the work into web-ready formats.
